auditions took place on Sunday, September 7th, and were a huge success.

Requirements Complete online registration at the bottom of this page. $35.00 Audition Fee with Medical/Assumption of Risk Forms $20.00 Audition Fee for returning Capella Members Audition fees are non-refundable. Download Medical Release Form HERE Download Assumption of Risk Form HERE Download Facility Release Form HERE if under 18, HERE if 18 and over If you are under the age of 18, your parent must sign your release forms, giving you permission to audition. Copy of birth certificate or drivers license for proof of age Returning members must re-audition for a spot at the beginning of each new season. Members may not turn 23 by March 31, 2009 If you are a high school student, and your school offers a scholastic winterguard program, we are sorry to say that you are ineligible to audition based upon WGI, SCGC and Capella policy. Audition Process Auditions are CLOSED to spectators. Potential members will be instructed in the Capella techniques utilized in weapons, flags, and movement. We will be looking for individuals with the ability to adapt quickly to our choreography, as well as technique proficiency in all areas. All potential members must audition on flag and dance. Weapons are encouraged but not required. If you are planning on auditioning for a weapons position, please bring your equipment with you. We will be holding auditions for weapons spots, but the lines will not be set until we begin regular rehearsals in November. Equipment/Attire We ask that cast members, who wish to be considered for the weapon lines, spin 39 inch traditional rifles, and 39 inch Spanish (King) style sabres. Please bring your own weapons and a 6 foot flag. We have a limited number of flags to loan out for auditions. Basic black dance attire is requested. We need to be able to see your ankles and feet. Please have your hair pulled back. Wear something in which you are comfortable and are able to move in. Dance shoes/paws, barefoot, or socks only please. No dance sneakers/regular sneakers. Gloves are required for auditions and at all subsequent rehearsals. We are extremely excited about being promoted to the Ind Open class for 2009, and are looking for enthusiastic, talented, and committed individuals to join us on this new adventure!
